Success Quotes With Kelly - Ep 1
“Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better. ~Jim Rohn.”
Hey all you future 4X’ers out there…thanks for joining me today. Welcome to the first episode for our “Success Quotes with Kelly” series.
I promise that these videos will be a lot shorter and I am hoping that this content will cause you to think. I hope you get convicted by this material. I hope it causes inner reflection. This is where true change and improvement happens….when we look inwards.
Today’s Quote is from one of the most revered success mindset influencers of all time – Jim Rohn. “Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.”I am not going to spend time defining what success is. You can decide what success is to you. That is not what this episode is about. Let’s talk about the second part of this quote. “…Don’t wish is were easier, wish you were better.” That is human nature isn’t it. We do this. We want things to be easier. Why are lottery corporations making a bunch of money? Because people believe that is their only solution. That is their way out. Just make a small investment every single week and hope and pray for “luck” to be on their side. Did you know that over 70% of the people that win the lottery end up in a financial position that is actually worse than before they won the lottery within an average of 3 to 5 years. Marital breakups have occurred and even death in some cases due to suicide. That alone tells you that money is not success.
Money does not buy happiness. Money doesn’t fix all problems. Money can be a measuring stick for sure but just all of sudden having a lot of money doesn’t make anyone successful necessarily. Now money is not bad. That’s not what I am saying. My point is, Wishing and Praying for things to be easier is never going to be the solution. It will never work. It will never happen. That is what “unsuccessful” people do. Wishing that you were better, on the other hand, well…Hmmm. What does that do? It causes your brain to go to a different place doesn’t it. IT puts the responsibility and ownership on you. You are where you are at because of your current abilities, current mindsets, current habits, current life patterns, current associations, current influences, current talents that have or have not been developed….It’s all on you. Nobody else.
When you focus on making yourself better, then things get easier. Its true. You are your own secret weapon. You are the secret. You are the answer. You are the Blue pill or Silver bullet or next big thing. Its you. Feel empowered by that. It all starts with one thing. One new thing that you implement into your daily lives. What will it be for you? What are you gonna do with that? How do you structure your day now? How do you focus each day now? Where do you look for input now? What should you read now? What information should you consume now? Who should you listen to now? How can you get better? How can you turn yourself into a success machine that can overcome anything? What new thing will you add or subtract? I would love to read about it in the comments below. Tell me something that you are doing or going to do or something that you may decide to stop doing in order to make yourself better. This is exactly what Jim Rohn meant by the first sentence. “Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do.” Does that make sense?
Unsuccessful people will just keep doing the same things. Sticking to the same habits. Read books that are chewing gum for the brain. Consume content on the internet that helps them justify why things aren’t so bad. That is what unsuccessful people do. What are you going to do or stop doing. Please comment below.
